What does a postpartum doula do? Postpartum support helps a mother and family transition home after birth through practical support, recovery planning, nourishment, newborn adjustment, rest, and emotional support. Birth Perceptions offers selected postpartum services throughout Dallas–Fort Worth. For challenges beyond doula support — feeding difficulties, lactation support, or physical recovery concerns — these DFW resources can help.
Because healing deserves a seat at the table. Curated postpartum cuisine, Sacred Recovery Broths, belly binding, and in-home support — designed for quiet, practical care once baby is home.
A brief consultation confirms availability, care needs, schedule, and the most appropriate package. Recovery broths and kimchi selections may be purchased directly online.
Booking policy: All postpartum packages require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Standalone hourly support requires a 10-hour booking commitment. Sacred 40 clients may add care in 4-hour blocks at the current scheduled-time rate, subject to availability. The remaining balance is due before services begin.
The Sacred 40 combines 24 in-home hours with placenta care, broth, Bengkung support, recovery products, planning, and check-ins across the first 40 days. The Complete Village provides 48 in-home hours for families whose priority is more frequent hands-on support.

Birth Perceptions provides postpartum recovery and newborn support—not professional housekeeping, sibling childcare, pet care, or furniture assembly. The mother's and newborn's immediate needs always take priority during each visit.
Very Light Newborn-Related Support
As time permits, support may include cleaning bottles, pump parts, pacifiers, and other newborn feeding items; laundering, folding, and putting away baby clothing or linens; restocking the diaper or feeding station; changing newborn bedding; emptying diaper trash; and lightly resetting the immediate newborn-care areas used during the visit.
Not Included in Postpartum Visits
General or deep housekeeping, adult or household laundry, unrelated dishes, sibling supervision or care, pet care, meal preparation, grocery shopping, building or assembling baby equipment, and moving or rearranging furniture are not included. Dedicated meal-prep services may be purchased separately.
Courtesy Amazon returns: A nearby Amazon return drop-off may be completed after the scheduled visit when the item is small, fully prepared, and the return label or QR code is ready. This courtesy depends on the provider's route and schedule and is not guaranteed.
Sacred 40 timing: The program supports the mother's recovery across her first 40 postpartum days. It includes 24 scheduled hours of in-home care, provided as six 4-hour visits—not daily or continuous attendance for all 40 days. Read the full program details.
